We all know what we say during the interview, that we are not recruited just on the basis of that. On the day of the interview, we should be extra careful about all kinds of work.

Interviewers try to judge you based on your actions and expressions. So anything you do can give them the wrong message about you if you're a little clumsy.

On the day of the interview, try to avoid the following tasks.

1. Arrive Late

No amount of excuses can change their mind about you. They will easily think of you as an irresponsible worker.

2. Arrive Early

There is no point in arriving an hour early and sitting nervously in front of everyone in the waiting zone. If you arrive earlier, grab a cup of tea or coffee from a nearby shop if needed. Be there 10 to 15 minutes before the appointment time.

3. Being Dumbfounded

Everyone wants happy employees for their company. So take care that nervousness does not make your face unduly serious. A little smile will give them a positive impression about your personality.

4. Neglecting Gatekeepers Or Receptionists

All employees may be asked for their feedback on you before you are recruited. So it is necessary to leave a positive impression in front of everyone. Be sure to properly address and greet everyone you meet and interact with.

5. Keep Mobile On

You have to be very careful about this. Put your phone on airplane mode before entering the building, not just on silent. Even if we don't talk on the phone all the time, many of us check messages and notifications every now and then. There is no need to even take out the phone and look at the screen in front of the interviewers.

6. Negative Body Language

Do not lean back on the seat or lean too far forward. Don't show your lack of interest in your body language. Lean your head slightly forward in your chair so they know you're paying attention.

7. Speaking In Unison

When speaking, tone should fluctuate to convey interest. When asked for an opinion, say it in such a way that they understand the force of your statement.

8. Watch The Clock Repeatedly

If everyone realizes that you are watching the time every now and then, then they will get an opportunity to judge you unnecessarily. Maybe they think you're bored, or in a hurry. So try to keep time without looking at the clock repeatedly.

9. Eating Heavy Meals In Informal Interviews

Many times the prospective candidate is called to the restaurant for an interview. In such informal interviews, order food that can be consumed with little effort. Even if rich food is ordered, eat little.

10. Dress More Casually

Try to select the dress according to the type of job. If necessary, go a little more dressy. Because you're excited about the clothes, that means you're excited about the job—that's the message your interviewer will get about you.

11. Not Listening To Questions Properly

Many times it happens that we decide the answer in our mind by hearing two words of the question. Listen carefully first. Ask the interviewer to repeat the question if necessary, then answer.

12. Being More Nervous

It's normal to feel sad and panic inside if you can't answer any questions. But it is better not to understand all this from the outside. If not, let them know, you need to review the matter further to answer it.

However, you need to practice public speaking to fully control your nervousness.

13. Speaking In An Angry Manner

If someone from the interview board directly challenges you and asks a question, don't get angry. Maybe they are testing how calm you can be in a bad moment. So try to answer all the questions with a cool head.

14. Show Nore Interest In An Interviewer

Maybe you feel more comfortable talking to someone on the interview board. Then it will be seen that you are paying more attention to him while talking without knowing it. If this is the case, the rest of the board members may be offended. So try to engage everyone equally while answering the questions.

15. Over Confidence

It is definitely good to be confident about yourself. But overconfidence can be harmful for you. Overconfidence does not allow one to see one's mistakes, but rather can lead to pride. Interview board will not like your attitude. Because they always want someone who admits their mistakes and learns from them to do better next time.
