1. You Have To Struggle To Keep Your Emotions Under Control

This ability is called 'Emotional Intelligence'. Therefore, leaders can judge the situation and respond quickly to bring the situation under control, while followers react based on the situation.

Followers are usually very efficient at getting out of trouble, while leaders work to clear the trouble. Because successful leaders stick to their ideals, while effective followers try to keep themselves as flexible as possible for any kind of change.
